I have asthma - can I take ibuprofen? If you need treatment for pain or fever, you should inform the pharmacist or your doctor if you have experienced any problems before when taking ibuprofen, paracetamol, aspirin or other NSAIDs. If you have not had any problems, they may supply an analgesic such as ibuprofen and advise you to seek medical help if any nasal, skin or breathing symptoms develop. If you have had any problems while taking these medicines in the past, the pharmacist will advise you to consult your doctor, who will prescribe an alternative analgesic for you.
